Our mission is to develop, improve and maintain quality road services, right-of-ways and safe roads to the different publics that travel through the Cheboygan County area and its townships.
Office Hours:
Summer (May - Sept): Monday - Thursday: 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Winter (Oct – April): Monday – Friday: 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Road Commissioners are elected to six year staggered terms in even numbered years. In each election cycle, up to 1/3 of the Road Board members are up for re-election. Road Commissioners do not have districts, but rather are elected countywide. In 2008, by resolution of the County Board of Commissioners, the Road Commission Board was expanded from three to five members.
County Road Commission Board Meetings
Board meetings are held at 9:00 a.m. (8:00 a.m. during summer months) at the Main Office in the Indian River on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month.
