Property tax bills come out July 1st and December 1st every year.
It is the taxpayer's responsibility to contact their Local Treasurer if they do not receive the original bill.

PROPERTY GOES INTO FORFEITURE $175 TITLE SEARCH FEE, & $20 RECORDING FEE PLUS 1/2% PER MONTH INTEREST RETROACTIVE TO 3/1 OF PREVIOUS YEAR
CERTIFICATE OF FORFEITURE RECORDED
$35 PROCESS SERVER FEE - PROPERTIES ARE POSTED BY OFFICER
DEADLINE TO PREVENT PUBLICATION
LAST PART OF DECEMBER/BEGINNING OF JANUARY LIST PUBLISHED 3 TIMES IN LOCAL PAPERS
SHOW CAUSE HEARING - PROPERTY OWNERS CAN MEET WITH TREASURER TO ASK TO BE WITHHELD FROM FORECLOSURE & BE PUT ON A PAYMENT PLAN
ALSO THE FORECLOSURE HEARING
ANY TAXES NOT PAID BY MARCH 31ST END OF BUSINESS DAY WILL BE FORECLOSED AND OFFERED AT A PUBLIC AUCTION THAT WILL BE HELD IN AUGUSTBack to Top
Tax Foreclosure Sale
Under Public Act 123, the sale of liens has been replaced by direct foreclosure to the County Treasurer. Property is then sold at a public auction.
Sale books are available around mid-June each year. Books are $10.00 if picked up at the Treasurer's office, $12.00 if mailed. Auction information is also available at https://www.tax-sale.info/.
2017 Public Land Auction will be held on August 19, 2017.
