CHEBOYGAN COUNTY “DORIS REID BUILDING” IMPROVEMENTS

Cheboygan County, Michigan is requesting cost proposals from qualified architectural consultants to provide the County with a facility space needs assessment, preliminary design and construction cost estimate for improvements to the Cheboygan County “Doris Reid Building” located at 825 South Huron, Cheboygan County, MI 49721.

Proposals requirements may be obtained either by downloading the proposal from the County’s Website (click here to download) or a hard copy may be picked up at the Office of the County Administrator, 870 South Main Street, during the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.  The County Administrator and/or the Maintenance Engineer will be available to meet with consultants. Meetings may be arranged by contacting the County Administrator’s Office at 231-627-8855.

Two (2) copies of the cost proposal shall be submitted together, sealed and clearly marked Cheboygan County “Doris Reid Building” Improvements to the office of the County Administrator, 870 South Main Street, P.O. Box 70, Cheboygan, MI 49721 no later than 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 29th, 2013 at which time they will be opened.  Supplementary materials such as exhibits, biographical information, and other documentation may also be submitted separately bound from the proposal.  Proposals shall be valid for Ninety (90) days from the date they are due.

Cheboygan County reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals in the best interest of the County.

The execution of a service agreement will conclude this consultant selection process unless all proposals are rejected.  It is expected that the selected consultant should be ready to proceed with the project upon the County’s execution of the service agreement.

Cheboygan County is accepting material and labor proposals for renovations at the Cheboygan County Fairgrounds Midway Restroom Building located at:

204 East Lincoln Ave. Cheboygan Michigan

Consisting of:
1.  Removal and replacement of existing fixtures
2.  Repair and paint of existing interior surfaces
3.  Removal and replacement of existing electrical
4.  Addition of exterior cladding and misc. items

The County can reject all or any portion of the bids. Bids are due 1:30 p.m. EDST, Friday, June 28, 2013 at the office of:

In a sealed envelope marked “Cheboygan County Midway Restroom Bid”.  The bids will be opened at the Cheboygan County Administrator Office, 870 south Main Street Cheboygan, MI 49721 on Friday, June 28, 2013.  Contract will be awarded after bid qualification is complete.  (approx. 1 week)

The County reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive irregularities in the bid, or to select other than the low bid, as may be in the best interest of the County.

Tuscarora Township has submitted a request to the Planning Commission asking that their request for a special use permit be tabled until the June 5, 2013 Planning Commission meeting.

 

Tuscarora Township - Requests a Special Use Permit for Construction of a Sewage Treatment Plant (Section 7.3.12.).  The property is located at Brudy Rd., Tuscarora Township, parcel #162-030-300-001-03 and is zoned Light Industrial Development District (D-LI). (This item was tabled at the 05/01/13 Planning Commission meeting)
