Foreclosure Clerk II - Treasurer Office
Cheboygan County is accepting applications and resumes for the position of Foreclosure Clerk within the County Treasurer’s Office. The position is a full-time, 40-hour per week union position.
Duties Include: Answering the phone, waiting on the counter, processing mail returned for bad addresses, scanning and burning documents to cds, track partial payment records, creates and maintains the forfeiture files for all forfeited properties, create packet for each parcel to be served for process server which includes making copies of forms to be served and creating maps for parcels without property addresses; certify deeds which could include drawing out property descriptions; records the liber and pages in the tax program for certificate of forfeitures, redemptions, judgments and deeds, verifies that our forfeiture files match the records used by the current title search company for certified mailing etc., collect property taxes; balances cash drawer and any other duties assigned by the County Treasurer or Chief Deputy Treasurer.
Candidate Should Possess the Following: Strong Excel spreadsheet and Word skills; must have strong math skills and cash handling experience, positive phone skills and the ability to relate well with the general public. The ability to read and draw property descriptions and knowledge of BS&A Software very helpful.
Hours: 8:00AM to 4:30PM
Salary: $16.77 with a competitive benefit package.
