Straits Regional Ride (SRR) is a multi-county bus system connecting communities in Cheboygan, Emmet and Presque Isle Counties. Straits Regional Ride buses run flexible routes with selected stops for your convenience in many communities along each route. All posted route times are estimated. Arrival/departure times vary depending on the number of pickups,, drop offs, and weather and traffic conditions. If no riders are scheduled in advance, SRR reserves the right to change the route to accommodate ridership demands. Call dispatch to confirm route. Please be watching for the bus 10 minutes before or after your scheduled time. Having the correct bus fare ready to give the driver is appreciated. It is important that you try to call 24 hours in advance to find out times and locations of a bus stop in your community.

Straits Regional Ride Cares for Kids
Families, daycare, churches, schools and youth groups have found the SRR to be safe and reliable transportation for pre-school and school-aged children. All SRR vehicles are equipped with seat belts and children are required to use them at all times for their safety.
Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 prohibits discrimination on the basis of race, color, or national origin in programs and activities receiving Federal financial assistance. Specifically, Title VI provides that "no person in the United States shall, on the ground of race, color, or national origin, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any program or activity receiving Federal financial assistance" (42 U.S.C. Section 2000d).
Straits Regional Ride is committed to ensuring that no person is excluded from participation in, or denied the benefits of its transit services on the basis of race, color, or national origin, as protected by Title VI in Federal Transit Administration (FTA) Circular 4702.1.B. Planning Your Trip
When you consider using the SRR for your transportation needs, it is important to understand schedules and routes in your area. The SRR buses may make several stops, so plan a longer ride than you would expect by car. Call dispatch for assistance when planning your trip.
The bus may arrive 10 minutes before or after your scheduled pick-up time. Please look for the bus and be ready. If the driver don't see you, they will wait for three minutes past the scheduled pick-up time and then proceed.
“No-Show” Policy: If your plans change, please call us to cancel. The SRR tracks “No-Shows” and will charge you a “No-Show” fare on the next trip.
