Cheboygan County will hold a public hearing to receive citizen input regarding the proposed use of Program Income funds generated through housing activities funded by the Michigan State Housing Development Authority (MSHDA). The purpose of this public hearing is to provide the public with the opportunity to review and comment on Cheboygan County’s proposed use of Program Income funds, including funds available in excess of $35,000, which may be used at the County’s discretion in accordance with applicable MSHDA guidelines. Program Income funds are typically generated through repayments of prior housing assistance loans and are intended to support eligible housing activities, including, but not limited to, housing rehabilitation and emergency repairs. A description of the proposed use of funds is available for public review at the Cheboygan County Planning & Zoning Department during regular business hours or by request. All residents, including low- and moderate-income persons, are encouraged to attend and provide comment.
