Family Division

The Probate Judge presides over some of the Family Division cases of the 53rd Judicial Circuit Court.  Those cases include emancipation, name change, adoptions, juvenile delinquency, child protection proceedings and parental waivers.

Juvenile Delinquency Proceedings

All delinquency proceedings initiated by a Petition under the Juvenile Code or initiated by Uniform Law Citation for various minor offenses not in the Motor Vehicle Code.

Forms

At the onset of a juvenile delinquency proceeding, parents are requested to complete a Financial Statement.  The information gathered will help the Court determine any costs assessed on a case.  If the parent does not complete the form, the full amount of any costs incurred will be assessed to the case.
