Office of Emergency Management
The Cheboygan County OEM was created in April 2020 to better serve the citizens of the county to comprehensively plan for and respond to and recover from all manner of disasters whether man-made or natural. In order to properly facilitate disaster management, CCOEM coordinates with federal, state, and local stakeholders to obtain and direct assets during an event.
Part of the CCOEM Director duties are to coordinate, train and educate in emergency management services in the county with public safety at the forefront.
Public Health
The CCOEM is working diligently in coordinating assets to enable District Health Department #4 to hold vaccine clinics for Cheboygan County Residents. Through this coordination the CCOEM has recruited and organized many volunteers to include local law enforcement, firefighters and the National Guard. This team effort ensures these clinics operate as efficiently as possible.
